Call block save my day!,

This is a review I post for the first time in my life. I do so because I am so grateful for this telephone set. A good 8 to 9 out of 10 incoming calls used to be telemarketers or silent. National Do Not Call Registry didn't help me much. For years, I hated my landline telephone. I love the call block function this telephone set offers. I have stared to take records of unwanted calls, researched on the web, and blocked those particular callers one by one. After a couple of weeks, I feel that my landline telephone is becoming a useful communication tool again! For this function alone, this telephone set worth every penny.

Besides, I am happy with the basic built quality of this telephone set, as compared to Ibiden I had before which came with awful ten keys.

I rate only 3 stars for Sound quality not because of the telephone set, but microphone for the Panasonic headset I bought at the same time could be better. I am often told that I speak too softly until I carefully adjust the position of the beam microphone so close to my mouth.

 

Not Happy with Speaker Quality,

Unfortunately, I didn't start using this right away and it is now outside the "Return Window". The speaker on the phone I got was atrocious and there is so much static as to be almost unusable. If I get a replacement, it will surely be a different model/manufacturer.

 

Speakerphone quality is bad,

The short version of my story: The phone works great with the handset, the cordless handset, and the cordless speakerphone...but the desk unit speakerphone puts an annoying hiss on the line. Not an echo exactly, but a weird noise. You'd have to hear it to understand but it's clearly not there with the other options for talking on this phone. So I had to send it back.

I worked for a giant telecommunications company for 34 years,,my choice of phone equipment for residence or small business is Panasonic..anything else is either over priced with gadgets you don't need or cheaply made....if you plan to use over voip..remember you lose your voip when your internet goes down if you don't have landline service. I kept my telco landline non voip..and this corded set is great if you happen to lose all power in your home..cordless phones don't work if your ac power goes dead..unless you keep a cell phone with plenty of extra batteries is another way of staying in communication..
I still have other Panasonic sets I purchased years ago still working good.. Panasonic is my choice..and the 30 number block number feature is another plus,,

combines the best of new tech, and old, corded tech. large buttons, easy to use. older people , people who don't see too well, and tech phobic people will like this. wireless phone works like a cell phone
