Simple to use, this device has a button to select the application to work (keynote, powerpoint mac and windows), ready to respond and it does faster. Recommended

This is not the top of the line item, but it has all the functionality I needed. It saved my class teaching when I needed it. My teaching materials were all on PowerPoint slides. The slide mode and the slide advance/reverse mode are two of the functions I used the most. Also, inside the gadget there is a place for the USB transmitter/receiver storage when not using it. This is one of the reasons I decided on purchasing this. It came very handy for me. It uses 1 AAA battery but you can carry the 2nd AAA battery inside the gadget. i.e., there is a slot for the spare. It is also a nice feature when you have several days of long presentations. I never ran out of battery power for several days of 3 hour classes, but you never know when you need the spare.

This remote is easy to use and has a long range, which is great for presentations where the laptop or other equipment is on the other side of the room. The pointer works well, although I find I don't use it as much as I expected to.

The extra battery is a neat feature, and I really like how the USB wireless unit tucks into the remote so it doesn't get lost.

I was skeptical about this remote control. Would it work on my Mac Powerbook? It has a small switch inside that you set for Keynote (Mac) or Powerpoint (Mac & PC). It also has a tiny USB receiver that plugs into the computer to "connect" the two. When I plugged it in, my Powerbook said that it does not recognize the keyboard. After diddling with it for a while, I learned to start the Keynote program, hit Play, and then plug it in. It then works flawlessly. The built-in laser pointer is not very bright, so it is not very useful, less so than my other laser pointers. I really wanted a remote that let me move around and control the progression of "slides", so it works well for its intended purpose. Turning it on is a bit erratic. You push a button to turn it on and hold the button down to turn it off. Sometimes it does not turn on with a single push and I find that I must hold it down to get it to turn on. So far, this is a minor issue.
